I am passionate about the wellbeing and future of the next seven generations. I will advocate the simplicity and benefits of Organic/Green living, including educating others that our actions now affect the future of our children. I will also teach them to care for their health, their families, their homes and the community we are all a part of, without causing harm to ourselves or the planet. Organic/Green living is easy and attainable to each and every one of us.
Organic living is all about taking care of our health, our families, our homes and the community we are all a part of, without causing harm to ourselves or the planet.
Taking care of your health encompasses the products we use on a daily basis, as well as, the foods we eat.
Taking care of our families includes giving them safe products to use and good foods to eat. Even more important is that we continue to teach our children through example the importance of self-care with safe, organic and toxin-free products and foods.
Taking care of our homes and our communities, means keeping in mind the concepts of reduce, recycle and reuse. We are a society of over-users symbolized by the stack of napkins at a fast-food restaurant we didn't use and threw away or by the daily paper and styrofoam cups of coffee we consume.
It also means supporting local business. Buying foods and products from local farmers and vendors keeps our dollars and our hearts close to what we care about. Organic living is about community living. Know your neighbors; smile at people walking down the street, and share what you know with your friends. We learn from our peers and share in their existence. What they do matters.
All of this, for me, is the concept of green living. It is easy and attainable for everyone. Take care of yourself then extend that to your family and home, and then your community.
